Shodex™ IC series

The Shodex™ IC series of ion chromatography columns are made of either polyhydroxymethacrylate, polyvinyl alcohol,Styrene divinylbenzene copolymer or silica base material and are available with either quaternary ammonium, carboxyl or sulfo functional groups for suppressor or non-suppressor IC methods.

The Shodex™ IC series of ion chromatography columns are made of either polyhydroxymethacrylate, polyvinyl alcohol, styrene divinylbenzene copolymer or silica base material and are available with either quaternary ammonium, carboxyl or sulfo functional groups for suppressor or non-suppressor IC  methods.

There are two types of ion chromatography: non-suppressor method and suppressor method. While the suppressor method requires a suppressing module, the non-suppressor method can be used for ion analysis by simply connecting an electro-conductivity detector to an all-purpose LC system.

Shodex provides columns for cation/anion analysis for both non-suppressor and suppressor methods. They also provide columns for analyzing transition metal ions and rare earth metal ions using the post-column reaction system. Column selection can thus be made based on your analysis needs and type of ions.
