Maxi-Clean™ IC SPE
Eliminate Matrix Interferences Before Ion Analysis
The most difficult part of many ion chromatography applications is eliminating interfering components from the sample matrix. These interferences may co-elute or mask peaks of interest, overload the
column, or shorten the column life by binding irreversibly to the column packing. S*PURE unique IC SPE devices eliminate many of these interferences.
Each polypropylene device contains 0.5mL or 1.5mL of purified polystyrene resin, contained by 20µm polyethylene frits. The resin is functionalized to retain specific types of components from the sample.
Maxi-Clean™ cartridges can be processed with any luer hub syringe.

Seven Chemistries Solve a Variety of Specific Problems
IC-RP provides a reliable method for removing surfactants, organic acids, proteins and other organic substances.
IC-H and IC-OH adjust the pH of samples prior to injection. The recovery of weakly ionized anions such as nitrite and phosphate may be poor after pretreatment with IC-H.
IC-Ag and IC-Ba use selective precipitation reactions to remove halides or sulfates, respectively. Low levels of other anions may be lost during pretreatment if the concentration of halides or sulfates is high.
IC-Na removes cations from samples without changing the sample's pH.
IC-Chelate removes polyvalent cations and transition metals from the sample.
Mixed-Mode RP-OH simultaneously removes hydrophobic components and increases the pH of acidic samples.
Mixed-Mode RP-H simultaneously removes hydrophobic components and decreases the pH of alkaline samples.
